Volunteers needed! The more volunteer support we can get to the people in Haiti,
the more lives we can touch!

medi for help in cooperation with the Hanger Ivan R. Sabel Foundation is not just a one-off.
For us, social responsibility not only means to support people in need, but also to provide
lasting help for people to help themselves. Therefore, it is necessary to keep on recruiting
specialists from around the world to volunteer for two or four weeks at the prosthetic
ehabilitation center in Deschapelles, run by the Hanger Ivan R. Sabel Foundation. In addition
to the prosthetic care of the patients done by the volunteers, the local employees are trained.
In this way it can be ensured that in the medium term the locals are able to run the workshop
independently. Volunteers wanted. We continuing to look for specialists from all over the world,
who want to help out in Haiti for 2 or 4 weeks. There are a number of ways to contribute time
and expertise to our cause. We have many volunteer  opportunities, e.g. for orthopaedic
technicians (CPOs), physicians (vascular and orthopaedic surgeons, …), nurses or physiotherapists.
There are no travel costs, e.g. transport, board and lodging for the volunteers.

Prerequisites at a glance

• Long-term experience in following technics: plaser cast, modelling,
  Static and dynamic alignment, socket design resp. optimizing the fitting
• Language skills English
• Organisational Abilities
• Travel experiences
• Good general state of health
• Physical and psychological resistance
• Health insurance for journeys abroad
• Vaccinations according to guidelines for destination
• Valid passport

    Als französischer Doktor, Spezialist in rehabilitation und besunders bei Amputierten, wäre ich einverstanden
    2 Wochen in Haiti zu arbeiten im Jahr 2012.
    Brauchen Sie Mediziner? Was erwarten Sie genau? Wie kann ich am besten helfen?
    Wäre es möglich und wann?

    Hallo

    wuerde gerne an dem medi for help projekt teilnehmen.

    Habe 2010 meine Ausbildung in Deutschland abgeschlossen, bin nun in Australien fuer einen Working Holiday und arbeite nun 3 Monate bei einer OT Firma in Sydney.

    Wuerde mich gerne von hier aus bewerben dafuer bewerben und alle Unterlagen zu Ihnen schicken, nun meine Frage, ob ich das Arzt attest auch nachreichen kann sobald ich wieder in Deutschland bin?

    Hallo Medi for HELP -Team!
    bin auf eure Seie zugestoßen..und irgenwie hätte ich Interesse daran.
    ich arbeite als Fachverkäuferin in Sanitätshaus, habe leider in prothetik, Orthetik keine Erfahrung.
    würde ich aber für alle andere Bereiche wo ich helfen kann, gerne tätick sein, wenn es benötigt wird.
    meine Englischkenntnisse würde ich mit meinem Aufhentalt gerne vertiefen.
    ich freue mich über eine Nachricht.
