The Bayreuth basketball players from medi bayreuth are committed to medi for help with a strong campaign: At the charity game on December 22, 2021 against Telekom Baskets Bonn, they ran out in pants and jerseys with the medi for help logo, which they then auctioned off digitally. The proceeds of 1,250 euros went to our aid organization.

“We want to build bridges with our sport, give courage and support people who are not doing so well. The intention behind ‘medi for help’ reflects this. To do our part, we donated the entire proceeds of the jersey auction to a good cause! Unfortunately, due to the current corona situation, the charity game took place without an audience – but thanks to the digital possibilities, we were still able to implement our idea and do good together,” says Bastian Doreth, captain of medi bayreuth. The Bayreuth Bundesliga team auctioned off their shirts on eBay. In addition, the association sold advent calendars in the run-up to Christmas – part of these merchandising proceeds also flowed into the donation sum to medi for help.

“Every contribution counts – the commitment of medi bayreuth makes us proud! We are grateful for any support that allows us to advance our heart project medi for help. True to our motto ‘Give a smile’, we can give the local people back more quality of life and joy. Our big thanks go to the Bayreuth basketball team for this,” summarize Daniela Weihermüller and Carsten Stauf, project team medi for help.
